Having spent two weeks at the Divine Onkar Mission Orphanage in Jharkhand, I have been fortunate enough to experience first hand the importance of the charity’s work, and consequently, the value of each and every donation to the children there. It was nothing less than overwhelming to witness the growth the school has made in the past few years and the sheer amount of hard work and compassion involved in allowing it to thrive as it does. It surpassed any expectations I had, the level of care provided there goes above and beyond. It is evident that each student is loved wholeheartedly by one another and provided with the skills needed to empower themselves for a more hopeful future. I have never experienced a community where there is so much love and gratitude. The work of Divine Onkar Mission truly has changed the lives of thousands, both directly and indirectly. It is a great testimony to both the power and importance of education and human compassion. The beauty of each child’s smile and inner strength is hard to capture in words, however I can honestly say there is no greater investment. There are few things in life which give such returns and I am excited to see and take part in the development of Divine Onkar Mission’s future. The projects that are currently in place, such as the building of a new high school, deserve ongoing support and commitment, as their value cannot be underestimated. Like others who are familiar with the work of this charity, I am filled with the upmost respect and admiration for all those who are involved in its growth.
